Durham CCC is cricket's youngest first class county, having been granted first class status in 1992. Since then the Club have gone from strength to strength and boast one of the finest grounds in the country, which is also the newest addition to the Test Match circuit. The stadium is situated in highly attractive and mature parkland on the banks of the River Wear. Although located in this secluded valley, the Riverside is only minutes from the A1 (M) with extensive parking.
Conferencing and Banqueting
The Club offers a wide range of services, from cricket hospitality at domestic and international matches to conferences and wedding receptions.
The impressive pavilion contains 15 Executive Boxes, five Executive Lounges and the Riverside Suite - which holds up to 300 people. This range of Conference & Banqueting rooms has panoramic views of the playing area, Lumley Castle and the Durham Countryside. These facilities are further complemented by the popular Austin's Bar & Bistro which is open to the public seven days a week.
