Azure wins Queens Park Rangers contract

Azure, the Stadia sports & leisure catering and hospitality specialist, has won a five year contract worth £7.5 million to supply catering and hospitality to one of London's major football clubs, Queens Park Rangers (QPR).

Starting in June, Azure will provide a range of catering facilities from match day hospitality and retail sales to catering for conferences and events at the stadium.

As part of the deal, award winning Elior Chef Rory Thompson will oversee the catering for the Football League Championship club alongside experienced catering and sales manager, Louise Herridge. In addition to providing catering to the stadium, Azure will be responsible for marketing and selling the stadium's catering for non-match day use.

The catering facilities provided by Azure will include 20 food kiosks and four restaurants. With average crowds of 14,000 and a total capacity of over 18,500, the team at Azure will have a big crowd to please.

Adam Elliott, Azure managing director, said: "This is a fantastic endorsement of the efforts made by the Azure team in London and the South East. Securing a contract to cater to a stadium of this size has real strategic importance to us as we continue to focus on building our business in the South East and with leading football stadia. With our passion, dedication and expertise we look forward to meeting the high standards demanded by a stadium such as QPR."

Michael Audis, Elior UK's chief executive officer, added: "It was only last month that we announced a new deal with the Murrayfield Rugby Stadium in Edinburgh and I am delighted to have secured a contract with another hugely reputable stadium so quickly.

"It is through our proven and continued excellent work that we continue to build new relationships in the stadia market and with sports venues across to the UK. We are passionate about winning new business in this area and continuing to support the diverse catering requirements of businesses in this bespoke industry."
